Tintagel Castle

Further excavations by Jacky Nowakowski for English Heritage on this iconic coastal site are due to take place July/August on the site of the Early Christian settlement and Castle: final details and date to be confirmed. The all day visit, with Henrietta Quinnell, will allow time for a leisurely visit to the English Heritage site and the excavations and also to St Materiana’s church along the coast path, the site of an Early Christian cemetery; there is a Roman ‘milestone’ in the church. By car, but a mini-bus from Exeter may be arranged if sufficient requirement. Register interest now.
