The DAS Winter Meeting programme is one of the regular features of the Society’s year.

This is a programme of hour long talks from guest speakers on a wide range of archaeological subjects, local and international, that are held at least once a month between October and March. The 2017-18 Winter Meetings took audiences from the myth and archaeology of Troy to the Neolithic of Orkney, via many other fascinating sites. The full programme can be found here and will be updated once the next year’s programme is finalised, as well as on the main Winter Meetings page.

Winter Meetings are usually held in the splendid surroundings of Exeter’s historic Guildhall. Our annual joint Winter Meeting with the Prehistoric Society is usually held in January at County Hall, Exeter.

The Winter Meetings are free and are open to non-members. No booking is required but numbers are limited by the size of the venue. We hope to see you at a future Meeting.

If you would like to suggest ideas for Meetings or would like to comment please contact the Hon. Winter Meeting Secretary.
