Dr Jason Monaghan is an archaeologist, writer and the former Director of Museums for Guernsey. His talk will cover the background to the Romans in the Channel Islands and his work on the excavation of the Roman ship from St Peter Port. He will also cover the new discoveries being made on Longis Common in Alderney and the excavation of the Roman small fort at the Nunnery.
